Like most other people I have had occasion to grieve over the death of dear relatives, sometimes prematurely. My Christian belief in an afterlife has been a great consolation to me and to the moribund people themselves. I pity anyone who willingly deprives himself of that relief but when, in addition, he pours scorn and ridicule on bereaved families, he is being callously cruel and insensitive to the grief of his fellow men and women.
