It is a real pity, all he had to do was stop, and as long as he had everything in order ie: driving licence and insurance I am positive that he would have gotten away with it as it wasn't really his fault that those two where fighting in the street.

Oh how many professors we have in Malta. Don't judge anyone if you don't want to be judged first of all. This person could be in a serious shock and he should get himself together and go to the police but i would never jail him for an accident that he didn't have anything to do with it.

Hit and Run is a very very serious offence and when the culprit is caught no doubt will be locked up for a long long time. the worst part for the person who commited this very serious offence will have this epsiode palying on his mind for the rest of time.

Presumably the 'survivor' of this incident can readily identify the hit and run vehicle, for the police to follow up and arrest the driver. A hit and run causing death is a very serious matter and needs a thoruough investigation and the culprit jailed.

My condolences to the family,
I wish the best of luck to the authorities, and may this murderer (manslaughter or not) be brought to justice!
