Obituary

GUILLAUMIER. PAULINE, widow of William, aged 71, died peacefully at Mater Dei Hospital on Thursday, November 6. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved son Pierre Louis, her sisters Mary and her husband Salvinu Attard, Josette and her husband Tony Cilia Pisani, her brother Lolly Schembri and his wife Vincienne, her in-laws Joe, Victor of Canada, John, Doris of the UK and Violet and their spouses, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2 p.m., for St Gaetan Parish church, Ħamrun where Mass praesente cadaver will be said at 2.30 p.m. followed by interment at the Sta Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza in Siġġiewi will be greatly appreciated.

MIFSUD. On November 5, at Mater Dei Hospital, MOLLY, widow of Advocate Dr Alfred Mifsud, aged 82, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Catholic Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Adrian and his wife Bernardette, Alfred and his wife Carol, Albert and his wife Vivian, Alma and her husband Sandro and Andrew and his wife Caroline, her 10 beloved grandchildren Kristjan, John Paul, Rachelle, Joanna, Cristine, Robert, Susan, Cristina, Andrea and Matthew, her dearest friend Joseph Cassar and his family, her sister Hilda and her brother Albert Mizzi and their respective families, as well as her sisters-in-law Sr Marie Mifsud of St Dorothy's Convent, Gladys, Josephine, Carmen and their respective families, all residing in Australia, as well as other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2 p.m. for the Immaculate Conception parish church, Ta' l-Ibraġ, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to The Malta Hospice Movement, Balzan, will be greatly appreciated. Special thanks go to all the dedicated doctors, nurses and other staff at the MITU Ward who showed her great respect and kindness. May the Lord grant her eternal rest.

Evolution of a racing car

A talk on the University of Malta's project to develop a Formula One-style racing car will be given by the Malta Group of Professional Engineering Institutions tonight.

The presentation, delivered by Diandra Mangion and David Vella from the Maltese Falcon Racing Team, will focus on the way a team of university students from different faculties got together to design, build and market the car with international success.

The presentation will be held at the Corinthia Marina Hotel, St Julians, at 6.15 p.m. Refreshments will be served at 5.45 p.m.

Remembrance services

Remembrance Day services will be held on Sunday at 9.30 a.m. at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Rudolphe Street, Sliema and at 11 a.m. at St Paul's Anglican Pro-Cathedral, West Street, Valletta.

Recollection for men

Opus Dei will be holding an evening of recollection for men at Lapsi Church, Lapsi Street, St Julians tomorrow at 7 p.m.

Żejtun remembers church builder

The Żejtun local council will host a musical and literary evening in memory of Xandru Pulis, builder of the Żejtun parish church, at the oratory situated beside the church on November 14 at 7.30 p.m.

ADHD meeting

The ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) family support group will be holding a meeting at the University of Malta Junior College in Msida on November 14 at 6.30 p.m.

Band club concert

The Saint Peter in Chains Band Club of Birżebbuġa will be giving a concert at its hall on Sunday at 7.30 p.m.
