The Biological Conservation Research Foundation (Bicref) and the Armed Forces of Malta rescued a turtle entangled in a mass of wires and fishing nets left afloat. The turtle had, as result, also swallowed a fishing hook. It is now recovering at the San Luċjan wildlife rehabilitation centre and will then be released back to the sea.
