Melita launches telephony offers

Melita said today that almost 50, 000 households and offices have connected to its telephony platform over the past two years.

It made the announcement when launching new offers on fixed-line telephony at €5.99 (VAT included) per month, and 100 free minutes of talk-time.

“At just €0.01c2 per minute for calls to any fixed line network and €0.23c per minute for calls to mobile networks, Melita’s per-second billing structure provides the best value ever,” the company said. It added that clients may keep their 21 number.

Melita's telephony is the best choice for good value for money in Malta. I have all my family and friends connected to Melita's voice network and we are all happy with service. About Melita's TV service i'm not quite happy with it, if GO launches a new installation/STB TV offer for new clients without GO landline I will move to GO without thinking it twice.

If there is no electricity you have no telephone service

I have ported to Melita a few months ago, kept my 21 number and am saving lots of euros weekly. I have opted for a tariff which costs €9.99 monthly with unlimeted calls to any landline, while GO's tariff is only free to on-net only (only to other GO).
Had a few problems at first due to a bad/old cable installation in my house, however with Melita customer care now 24 hrs a day it is easier to get connected.

Looking forward for Melita Mobile now.

Its very good for the consumer to have companies compete. But I am very sad to state the telephone service and after sales service is very poor. Melita offers a great service and after sales service when it comes to cable but when we swiched to hello the story was very different. I have written and e-mailed never got a reply and on the phone it was the same story . Reset this and that the line drops and you have to call again and explain from the start again then they send somebody to fix it (after 5 days ) Basically in 6 weeks the phone worked for 1 week . Also the line is still very poor.

I am very happy with melita and on vol but do not trust hello. I have now got back my go fixed line.
