New CEO for Housing Authority

Paul Debattista has been appointed chief executive officer at the Malta Housing Authority.

Dr Debattista has worked at top management level both in the public and private sectors.

He read sciences at the University of Malta and furthered his studies at universities in Italy and Scotland, where he obtained his doctorate in industrial chemistry.

He started his career at the Malta Development Corporation and was also a visiting lecturer at the University of Malta.

He has served as president of the Malta Employers' Association, of which he is now deputy president.

Dr Debattista was a member of the MCESD and is a member of MEUSAC. He was the first chairman of the Malta Standardisation Authority and set up and organised the Malta National Laboratory.
