Unfortunately, the world does not have the proper technology yet to hone the energy of the sun. Solar Panel heaters? Thats another scam, believe me. If Solar power were a viable resource, then we'd be investing in it heavilly.
Several problems to solar power, are the massive cost to get a solar panel, lack of sun when you need it the most, and current technology cannot utilise it properly. Very little energy is received and to get in proper amounts of energy, requires massive amounts of space to be taken up.
Wind turbines, again, need wind, are somewaht costly, and require lots of space to produce a fairly little amount of power. But wind turbines are the closest thing to a renewable resource we can actually utilize.
Maybe the government could help develop mini-turbines for everyone's household. I've seen videos of these mini-turbines. For example,. one was used to power a guys garage door. But yeah, thats probably all it can provide power for unfortunately. One per household would reduce the consumption power stations.
Lets see if the world can discover a new power source soon.

It will be automatically removed as you will have to get rid of your television because you will not be able to afford the new electricity and water tariffs which the MINORITY Gonzipn Government Minister was ashamed of reading during his budget speech.

I am forced to try to make ends meet and will therefore stop buying anything that I could do without since my income value has been constantly eroded by the Nationalist Government and is now more eroded than ever by the MINORITY Gonzipn Government and since my wage has not been increased proportionately to the increase in taxes.

This country has to change from today. We cannot live in a disposable world anymore. The economy does not allow us to. We have to look for alternative means of how to insulate our homes using for instance double glazing or polystyrene on our facades to create a thermal enviornment. Use of sun and wind is also an alternate cheaper means (in the long run). With the government giving us initiatives to use these products we can ultimetly be saving the planet for many generations to come. We cannot continue living with an 'I don't care mentality' because that will now ultimetly effect our pockets. products such as solar heaters have been out for a very long time, but not many people bothered investing in them because electricity was cheaper. Today the tables have turned, and it will ultimetly be more worh it in investing in these products. You do not have to be a rocket scientist to realise that the world's natural resourses are not endless. If you look at the retrospective of the budget you will understand that it is in aim of what the future now holds for us.

This mornng I called the WSC to check a bill i received as normallt the number of residents used to be one for summer residences but in the last bill it changed to not applicable. I asked why and what is going to happen with the new bills . only to be told that they do not know anything. When i asked about water tariffs they said they could not divulge information ( although it was on their websit for the last week) When I told the gentlement so he said that therir websir had no new tariffs. Upon checking , it was true thay had been removed. He said he could only give me information re tariffs once the legal notice was published.!!!!
i THINK IF IS MY RIGHT TO KNOW HOW TARIFFS ARE GOING TO BE WORKED OUT ESPE CIALLY SINCE THEY ARE BACKDATED TO 1ST OCTOBER. iS THE JUST GOING TO BE A NEW YEARS PRESENT

Dr Gonzi is living on the moon!!
Pity!
I, for one, am watching over my expenses, dreading the day when I will receive the water and electricity bill, which as Mins Tonio Fenech pointed out, has to be paid.
(And it is not only for my bill that I am going to pay. Last week my son's church school has urged parents' to 'help' and give a higher donation in view of the rise of the water and electricity bills!)
