british rail system
If it was that good and offered such a fantastic service, why is it being again nationalized?

I look forward to the energy market opening up to competition, leaving the procurement of fuel and energy related services to be more competitive. The fact that the Government capped our fuel price during a very unstable global crises, was a wise move at the time, but backfired on us. If it was a situation where we had another competing company offering us electricity, they would have had an amazing opportunity to cut in at a lower price, in turn offering cheaper rates to the public. This also goes without saying that we could also have a choice of buying our energy from a cheaper greener provider if one was available.
The fact that BP is distributing LPG in fiberglass canisters at half the weight, reducing their transport costs, has benefited the environment, and the people that need to carry these to their homes. It's remarkable that we haven't sold off our old canisters for scrap metal years ago, and made the switch. But why should Enemalta do this, they don't have to do anything without the threat of competition.

All other countries are nationalizing certain assets to bail them out of financial trouble, burdening the tax payer. Some of these companies that have been privatised such as the british rail system opening up the market, have led to profitable business and more efficient services (although still built on an aging infrastructure, they have a lot to contend with). Maltacom becoming GO is a fantastic example of privitisation benefiting the people and the economy; opened to competition, bandwidth prices are dropping due to competition, leading way to more internet based business such as the igaming industry coming to Malta. The GO corporate infrastructure are offering higher wages and creating a pool of professionals benefiting the public with a high quality of service, lower prices, and faster speeds. Secondly, I don't want to pay through my taxes for a dry dock infrastructure that hasn't had a viable market since the British left. Get your facts straight and be happy that in a few years a good percentage of your taxes that were paying for the drydocks and enemalta will go towards something more concrete in the future.

All the other countries in the world including those obsessed with capitalism are nationalizing assets while the Gonzipn Government is privatizing everything!
