Udinese go joint top in Italy, Fiorentina lose

Udinese moved joint top with Serie A champions Inter after substitute Fabio Quagliarella grabbed a 2-2 draw at home to Genoa today.

The club from the north-eastern town of Udine took an early lead but then let Genoa take control before the Italy forward netted with a clever flick 12 minutes from time.

Like Udinese, Inter have 21 points from 10 games after winning 3-2 at bottom side Reggina on yesterday. Napoli can go two points clear at the top if they beat fourth-placed AC Milan at the San Siro in today's late game.

Fiorentina slipped back after losing the Tuscan derby 1-0 at Siena but Lazio returned to the top five after Pasquale Foggia sealed a 1-0 win over fast-sinking Catania.
