Over 75 schools, or around 70 per cent of all primary schools in Malta, participated in Birdlife's Dinja Waħda (One World) environmental education programme during the last scholastic year.

The programme includes 30 green activities for primary schools. Teachers are free to choose the activities they would like to carry out and for each activity performed, their school is awarded points. The range of activities covers different skills, interests and varying levels of teacher environment commitment.

All primary schools are invited to the launch of this year's programme and the prize-giving ceremony for participants in the last edition, which will be held at Attard parish auditorium on November 24 at 10 a.m. Entertainers Zoo will join the launch with specially designed sketches and songs for the children.

The prizes that each school has won are featured on the Dinja Waħda awards page on the Birdlife Malta website www.birdlifemalta.org. For more information, call Birdlife on 2134 7644-5.
