Crimsonwing unveils ERP system at London expo

Crimsonwing launched its Microsoft Dynamics Print VIS enterprise resource planning (ERP) system at London's Total Print Expo. Print VIS is an implementation of the Microsoft Dynamics ERP system, developed by Danish firm Nova Vision and offers significant benefits to the printing industry.

Well established for the past 10 years, Crimsonwing has, through the 2007 acquisition of the enterprise business unit of Peracto Ltd, become an advanced technology provider for the print and graphics industries, delivering business and technology solutions to well-known organisations.

Total Print Expo is a dedicated show for the short-run print market showcasing complementary digital and offset technologies, software, finishing, materials and services to printers and print customers. The evolution of the show is in step with the industry, which is rapidly integrating complementary production techniques and processes to maximise added-value services.

Print and graphic industries are noticeable by their unique, complex and ever-evolving business and technology requirements. Crimsowning's Print VIS has been specifically designed for such an industry. Print VIS is not a traditional MIS system but a fully integrated ERP system which offers significant benefits over the standard MIS model, such as reduced costs, better reporting and the ability to respond faster, while helping to improve sales. It is a revolutionary model which will have a significant and positive impact on the print and graphics industry helping printing businesses pursue profitable business growth.

In the UK there are already a handful of firms running the system, including Welsh magazine printer Stephens and George and direct mail group dsiCMM.

Crimsonwing plc has sales offices in the UK, the Netherlands, Austria, and the US, and an ISO-certified solution centre in Malta.
