UHM warns of more industrial action by legal officers
The UHM warned today that it may step up industrial action by legal officers employed by government departments after it received no reply from the government on its proposals to improve their working conditions. The union is also demanding formal recognition as the representative of this class of employees.
The Legal Class is composed of senior legal officers, legal officers, senior notaries, notaries, senior legal procurators and procurators,
The union on October 14 directed them not to use means of communication at work.

Do you know that the Lawyers, Notary Public and Legal Procurator grades are paid less than ASSISTANT LIBRARIANS with all due respect to Assistant Librarians?
Are you willing to work for a miserly salary at less than the salary of those who are less qualified than you Mr Schembri?

How about some action regard the electricity and water tariffs? I think for the Maltese population, that is more important now that those petty squabbles of conditions. If these tariffs are put into practice, there won't be any need of conditions at work, because, we won't even have work to go to.
