The Union Ħaddiema Magħqudin has asked public service employees to abstain from answering or signing documents on working hours.

The union said that a document was being circulated in many government departments proposing a change in working hours.

The UĦM objected with the Management and Personnel Office that there had been no consultation about this document, which contained a number of errors on which a more profound discussion was needed.

The document was being passed on to workers by the respective heads of department so that in the coming days they would give a formal answer on the hours they were willing to work.

The union said it has also requested an urgent meeting with the MPO to discuss the matter.
