Gasco Energy Ltd, the new company setting up an LPG storage and bottling complex in Bengħajsa, and Liquigas Malta Ltd, which will be responsible for distribution and marketing, have announced the appointment of their senior management team. Gasco Energy Ltd and Liquigas Malta Ltd are a 50/50 joint venture between Liquigas SpA of Italy and Multigas Ltd.

Roberto Capelluto, 54, has been appointed chief executive officer, Paul Agius Delicata, 44, will occupy the post of chief operations officer.

David Lawrence, 44, is sales and marketing manager of Liquigas Malta.

A spokesman for the board of directors said the new senior management team brings to Gasco Energy and Liquigas Malta the benefit of many years of considerable experience gained in setting up, operating and distributing gas and energy products in Italy and in Malta. "Their experience, combined with the academic and professional background, makes them the ideal persons to take the new companies' operations and customer care forward over the coming years," the spokesman added.

The appointments become effective tomorrow.
