Waves of marine life

A wildlife documentary which features over 150 marine species, from minute sea horses to majestic whales, living in the seas around us has finally reached the TV screens after five years in production.

Waves Of Life, is a new one-hour long documentary on our natural heritage, was produced by Biological Conservation Research Foundation (Bicref) with financial support from the Vodafone Malta Foundation.

It will be aired tonight on NET TV at 8.30. More screening will follow in the coming months.

The footage is the result of years of observations, photography and filming by Bicref volunteers. The production reveals the beauty, diversity and life of creatures around us and also focuses on those dwelling in our sea.

The documentary is a tribute to the 2010 Target to Halt Biodiversity Loss, an effort to promote particularly cetacean conservation in the Mediterranean and comes on occasion of the International Year dedicated to dolphins.
