Footballer admits injuring former girlfriend
Jerimiah Ani, a 22-year-old Nigerian player now playing in Portugal, has admitted in court to having injured his Maltese former girlfriend, held her against her will and insulted her.
The incident happened during an argument on July 10, 2006.
He was conditionally discharged for three years and ordered not to talk to or molest his former girlfriend.

i totally agree with you, however, rephrasing your last sentence would have been more just to society. "No woman should be abused by any man physically or mentally." this could have been very fairly written as "Nobody should be abused by anybody else physically or mentally". That's why its called equality!

Some men are very accustomed to treating their women as second class citizens. I hope Portugal women watch out for this guy and I honestly hope that the courts will make Mr Ani pay for this ex girlfriend pain and suffering . Men who abuse women are cowards. No woman should be abused by any man physically or mentally.
