Frankie Tanti and Nello Calleja, the two international Maltese volleyball referees, were appointed by the Confederation Europeene de Volleyball to control matches from the CEV Cup and GM Challenge Cup next month.
Calleja will be in charge of the game between the men's teams of NIS Vojvodina Novi Sad (Serbia) and Lokomotiv Kharkiv (Ukraine) in the GM Challenge Cup second round on November 12.
The game will be played in Serbia and Calleja will be the second referee and accompanied by first referee Lubomir Snahnican, of Slovakia.
Tanti has been called to ref in the men's CEV Cup first round in Switzerland. The game, on November 5, involves TV Amriswil (Switzerland) and Halkbank Ankara (Turkey). The other official in this match will be Slovakia's Zdenko Fatrdla.
