Eviction notices posted at Victoria Lines
Eviction notices were yesterday affixed to buildings inhabited by squatters along the Victoria Lines in Dwejra, limits of Mġarr.
The squatters were served with a notice by officials from the Government Property Division giving them a week's chance to evict the buildings before enforcement action is taken.
Enforcement action has already been taken in Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq, Għajn Tuffieħa, Marfa and Valletta.

While I am completely in favour of the steps being taken to evict individuals who take over public property, I STRONGLY APPEAL to the competent authorities to be wary and sensitive of any animals that may be affected, and to treat such animals, in their eventuality, with the utmost respect and care.
After all, they have no fault at all in this matter. Animals are always the victims of man's actions!
