Gerard Schembri, 43, of St Paul's Bay was today remanded in custody after having been accused of the attempted murder of Leonard Magri at Reflections Disco at the Suncrest Hotel early yesterday.

He was accused of having stabbed Mr Schembri, slightly injuring him.

Mr Schembri was also accused of unlawful possession of a weapon, and slightly injuring Rita Borg by punching her in the face.

He pleaded not guilty.
