Verdala Palace opens to the public
Thousands flocked to Verdala Palace in Girgenti over the weekend to admire the architectural beauty of this historical building and to raise funds for the Community Chest Fund. The door money, along with the sale of some paintings done for the occasion, raised €38,800. President Eddie Fenech Adami mingled with the crowds, especially with children who were keen to ask questions about the palace.
