Live coverage of Maltese rugby

Melita is extending its local sports coverage through a sponsorship agreement with the Malta Rugby Football Union (MRFU).

The agreement allows Melita to broadcast all home matches of Malta's national rugby team, live and exclusive and will also provide Melita with the exclusive transmission rights for delayed broadcasts of the best weekly game of the Cisk Lager 1st Division League. Starting from November 13, the weekly match will be broadcast exclusively on Melita Sports every Thursday at 8.30 p.m.

In line with Melita's efforts to promote rugby in Malta, the MRFU will also continue to benefit from financial assistance over the next few years.

Today, the Maltese rugby national team faces Croatia in their first encounter as part of the European National Cup and the World Cup 2011 group phase.

A live broadcast of the match goes on air on Melita Sports at 2 p.m.
