A man from Tarxien was yesterday jailed for two years after admitting to trafficking and being in possession of heroin.
Magistrate Anthony Vella heard Joseph Azzopardi, 39, also plead guilty to being in possession of cannabis resin and breaking the conditions of a previous sentence.
The court heard that Mr Azzopardi had been found in possession of six sachets containing drugs.
Police Inspector Johann Fenech prosecuted.
Lawyer Joe Brincat appeared for Mr Azzopardi.
