Obituary

CAMILLERI. On October 20, LAWRENCE of Camilleri Marine, Ta' Xbiex, passed away suddenly in Tunisia, aged 53. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Luella née Pellegrini, his sons Kenneth and Robert and his girlfriend Krista, his sister Marlene Tua, his brothers Louis and his wife Victoria, Philip and his wife Dorothy and Joe and his wife Doris, nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 1.30 p.m. for St Venera parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2 p.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery (back gate). Lord, grant him eternal rest.

Comino trip

Heritage Malta will be holding a trip to Comino during which participants will be visiting historical and natural sites.

Weather permitting, the tour will be held on November 9 and, in the case of inclement weather, the tour will be postponed to the nearest Sunday having favourable weather conditions.

Participants are to meet at the Marfa jetty, in front of the Riviera Hotel, at 8.45 a.m. and will return there at 4.30 p.m.

Tickets, at €23, must be bought beforehand from Heritage Malta's head office in Merchants Street, Valletta.

Participants should provide own food and drinks and wear appropriate walking footwear.

New diplomats

President Eddie Fenech Adami yesterday received the Letters of Credence from the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman, Said Bin Nasser Bin Mansoor Al-Sinawi Al-Harthy, and the Letters of Commission by the High Commissioner of the Kingdom of Lesotho, Seeiso Bereng Seeiso. The presentation was held during a ceremony at The Palace, Valletta.

Mass at Siġġiewi

Mass for the repose of the soul of Ġuża Mifsud, foundress of Moviment Madonna Tal-Konsagrazzjoni, will be said at the Siġġiewi parish church on Tuesday at 6.30 p.m.
