Social workers will take industrial action if they are not given their due allowances and arrears within two days.

The Union Ħaddiema Magħqudin (UĦM) yesterday registered an industrial dispute claiming that the Foundation for Social Welfare Services (FSWS) did not honour the collective agreement.

The workers are owed €1,150 in allowances for work that includes treatment and care of clients.

The foundation encompasses Aġenzija Appoġġ, Sapport, Sedqa and the Adult Training Centre.
