Race crew find corpse off Comino
A body in an advanced state of decomposition was found floating off Comino by a crew taking part in the Middle Sea Race yesterday afternoon. Sources said the corpse is probably that of a female migrant but this will have to be confirmed by an autopsy due to be held this morning. The Armed Forces of Malta dispatched a patrol boat, which took the corpse to Haywharf in Floriana, where it was handed over to the police.
Duty Magistrate Tonio Micallef Trigona was informed and opened an inquiry.
