Positively concluded case

Here are some excerpts from a letter I received about a case which has a happy ending:-

Alan Bonnici writes:

'My grievance is with Tiara Company Ltd, which operates as Tikams. The directors of this company are M. Bharwani and C. Bharwani.

'Last March, my wife placed an order for a front door from this company. She insisted that the door had to be in place by the end of August, otherwise she would have gone elsewhere. She was assured by the salesperson that the door would arrive in three months. My wife insisted that this be written on the contract of sale. This is what was written: three to four months after site survey. The site survey was carried out on April 28.

'A couple of weeks ago my wife called to enquire about the delivery. She was informed that the door had not arrived and was expected by the end of September. She pointed out that this was not what had been agreed and said she was taken for a ride.

'This company seems to operate a system whereby complaints are received by a person who claims to have no say in addressing them. While clients are assured that they are right, the person asks for contact details to pass them on to Mr Bharwani. However, the director never called. Subsequent calls were handled in a similar manner. One of the excuses for the director not calling is that he is busy. Aren't we all?'

More letters and e-mails were exchanged, but what matters is this e-mail:

'I would like to inform you that the matter with Mr Bharwani has been settled. My wife has been refunded.'
