The road between Marfa and Ċirkewwa is to be rebuilt as part of the improvement programme for roads classified as TEN-T.

Answering a parliamentary question by Ċensu Galea (PN), Infrastructure Minister Austin Gatt said the proposed road safety improvement works included the construction of a centre strip, the installation of pelican crossings, junction improvements and pedestrian facilities.

As a temporary measure concrete barriers were erected to act as a centre strip.
