I really do not understand the hullabaloo about the plans to introduce divorce in Malta.

When one finds oneself in an unfortunate situation, there will still be a choice; get separated, get divorced or remain together.

It's up to the person(s) in need to decide what is best for them, according to their beliefs. In a democratic country you have the right to have choices; if you don't like them, don't use them. The same can be said for abortion and euthanasia.

These sorts of choices are never made lightly, quickly or easily. But at the end of the day, a person has to take responsibility for those choices and live with the decisions one takes in life.
