Banif Bank (Malta) plc has lowered its base rate to 3.95 per cent with effect from yesterday.

This follows the decision taken by the European Central Bank to cut its reference rate by 0.50 per cent.

Banif said that, for the time being, it will retain the interest rates for deposit accounts at their present level.
