eBusinessMalta.com, a consortium of Malta's leading eBusiness organisations, attended the seventh annual European i-Gaming congress and expo (EIG) in Barcelona.
The event was highly successful with the organisers of the event, Clarion Gaming; announcing record numbers in attendance at EiG 2008. A total number of 1,544 delegates from over 60 countries attended through a variety of registration channels, which contributed to a 28 per cent growth on last year's trade show and reflected the expansion and renewed vigour created within the iGaming industry.
The operator CEO panel was for many delegates the highlight of the event, with six spirited industry leaders taking questions from the audience on topics such as market forecasts, the merging of operators and suppliers, and whether differentiation is the key to stop brand dilution.
The eBusinessMalta.com delegates included Michael Zammit, Andrew Zammit and Keith Kerr from CSB Group, and Ian Curtis and Emmanuel Bonnici from BMIT Ltd. The delegates commented on how successful this year's show had been in view of the number of start-up companies interested to start operations in Malta and other established names interested in relocating their existing business to the Maltese islands.
The congress this year focused on online marketing strategies, building communities and mobilising customers as brand advocates.
eBusinessMalta.com, a consortium launched in November 2007, provides clients with comprehensive solutions in the course of establishing their eBusiness in Malta.
