Breach of privilege complaint
Former opposition leader Alfred Sant yesterday moved a breach of privilege complaint against Communications Minister Austin Gatt saying the minister had claimed in the House that he (Dr Sant) had known what was happening at Mitts but had spinned the story to Malta Today in order to mislead police investigations.
Dr Sant denied this claim, saying it was incorrect and false and a breach of privilege.
Speaker Louis Galea said he would have to go through the speeches to study the complaint and would give his decision at a later stage.
