Labour’s two weights, two measures
The Malta Labour Party rightly said that it was unacceptable for the government to announce an increase in utility tariffs before carrying out a socio-economic impact assessment. I wonder why the same party did not make a similar statement when its leader, Joseph Muscat, announced that he will be pushing for divorce legislation? Where is the socio-economic impact assessment?

Dear Daniel
What are you implying? Are you invoking the Mintoffian assertion that the Maltese cannot 'afford' divorce therefore they would be better off if they have no choice in the matter ? Why are you lumping the civil right to choose not to remain married with a price hike in utility tariffs.

You get a divorce if you want to, you can have an annulment or choose to separate in my opinion it doesn't make that much difference, but you need to use electricity whether you like it or not I use the minimum and its a lot more then the 1300 units per person that was mentioned
