The Times reported on October 9 that during talks on illegal migration with Libyan government officials, Joseph Muscat and his delegation were given access to part of an agreement between Italy and Libya dealing with this subject.

Now we know that what Dr Muscat presented as some form of a singular achievement in his dealings in Libya, was, in fact, accessible to all and sundry online for many weeks.

As these facts are revealed so close to his false claim that Tony Blair campaigned against UK’s membership of the EU at the beginning of his political career (when in fact Mr Blair had voted in favour of such membership when he was only 22 back in 1975) and his fiasco in the European Parliament regarding the Sant’Antnin re-cycling plant, one wonders whether Labour is stuck with another leader lacking in substance.
