The number of passengers carried by the Gozo ferries between July and September fell by 0.3 per cent from the same period in 2007. The number of vehicles carried by scheduled vessels actually increased by two per cent during this period, figures issued by the National Statistics Office showed yesterday. The number of ferry trips dropped by 1.3 per cent and the highest number of trips was recorded in August, amounting to 35.2 per cent of the total number for the period under review.
