L-Istrina moving to Montekristo
Public Broadcasting Services has entrusted the production of “L-Istrina 2008” to a consortium made up of two entertainment and production companies, MK Leisure and Take 2.
The consortium said that for the first time ever “L-Istrina” will be broadcast live from Montekristo Estates in Hal-Farrug. The show will be held on Saturday, December 27 from 12 noon to midnight in order to raise funds for charities.
The show will retain much of its traditional and popular format but the organisers plan to infuse innovative ideas, placing the accent on traditional Christmas values and the true spirit of selfless solidarity.

Innovative ideas??? Why ??? The original / traditional format was good. Or perhaps the organizers want to make this event originally intended to charity as a very commercial event. In my opinion, I would not surly not help with my very small donation an interpreters image. The Government has a lot of areas where this event could have been done… so why choosing this particular place? Are there any hidden agendas? I guess that the largest some of money in donations during this years edition would come Luqa and Qormi residents in particular members of St Andrews fireworks factory, after this interpreter ruined their valley indirectly after not having the permits to make the cement plant roughly ten years ago.
