Soren Larsen scored twice on his return to the national team as Denmark cruised to a 3-0 victory over Malta in a World Cup Group One qualifier on Saturday. Larsen, who had not played for Denmark since last November, burst into the penalty area after a poor Malta clearance in the 10th minute and slid the ball past goalkeeper Justin Haber.

Daniel Agger scored from the penalty spot in the 29th minute after Gilbert Agius wrestled him to the ground during a corner kick. Larsen then sealed the match in the 47th minute, heading in a Kasper Bogelund cross as 146th-ranked Malta never threatened the Danish goal.

Denmark lead the group with seven points.
