Married recently at Mdina Cathedral were Marie-Claire Bonavia, daughter of Gregory and Annie Bonavia of Balzan, and Luc Léonard, son of Jean-Marie and Vala Léonard of Libramont, Belgium. Nuptial Mass was celebrated by Archbishop Paul Cremona. Fr Stefan Attard and Fr Charles Carabott concelebrated the wedding ceremony. Sandrina Darmanin and Philippe Léonard, the groom's brother, were witnesses. James and David Bonavia, the bride's brothers, and Philippe Léonard, were best men. The bride was attended by her god-daughter Christina Darmanin, as maid of honour and by Mécidée Ergen, Kristina and Lisa Abela as bridesmaids. Daniel Bonavia, the bride's nephew, was ring bearer. Thomas Bonavia, the bride's nephew, and Lloyd Tapia, the groom's godchild, were pageboys. A reception was later held at Torre Paulina, Madliena.
