Three persons were arrested yesterday night for drug possession, the police said.

A 30-year-old man was arrested in Hamrun after being found in possession of suspected cocaine. He was arrested by the police while attempting to traffic the drug in an entertainment spot.

Further investigations led to the arrest of a 39-year-old man from Birkirkara. Both arrests were made by the Drug Squad.

Meanwhile, officers of the Rapid Intervention Unit arrested a 32-year-old man from Floriana after also being found in possession of cocaine.  

All three are expected to be taken to court in the coming day.
