Victoria council puts forward proposals

As part of the process leading to the drafting of an official document by Victoria council, including proposals for the reform of the local governments, the council organised a public consultation meeting at its premises.

Participants had the opportunity to air their concerns and put forward suggestions.

Chris Said, parliamentary secretary responsible for the reform, attended he meeting.

The council, through a committee made up of former Victoria mayors and the current mayor Robert Tabone, drafted a document including 20 proposals which were discussed in detail.

The document can be obtained from the council's offices or can be downloaded from the council's website www.victoria.org.mt
