Vodafone to implement per second roaming charge

All Vodafone prepaid and postpaid customers will benefit from cost reductions of their calls while roaming in the EU with 'Vodafone World'. Vodafone roaming calls will now be charged per second instead of per minute after the first minute of calls.

All Vodafone customers roaming on 'Vodafone World Zone 1' (including all European Union countries) are being charged on a 60-second basis for their first minute and on a per second basis after that for all incoming and outgoing calls.

"Our customers have been benefiting from reduced roaming prices since 2005 and we are now reducing charges further," Marcel Grech Mallia, business segment executive at Vodafone Malta, explained.

"We believe calls should be charged according to actual call duration with a minimum of one minute for each call and this change will go down well with our roaming clients."

For more information on roaming charges, customers may call Vodafone Customer Service on 247 for free from their Vodafone, or 9999 9247 from any other line. Alternatively, visit www.vodafone.com.mt for details.
