A consortium of Malta's leading e-business organisations, eBusinessmalta.com, was represented at the seventh Annual European i-Gaming Congress and Expo (EIG) in Barcelona.
The event was organised by Clarion Gaming, which announced record attendance numbers: over 1,500 delegates from over 60 countries, a 28 per cent increase on last year's trade show. The increased interest in the event reflected renewed vigour within the iGaming industry, the organisers said.
The operator CEO panel was the highlight of the event with many delegates: six spirited industry leaders took questions from the audience on issues such as market forecasts, the merging of operators and suppliers, and whether differentiation is the key to stop brand dilution.
The eBusinessMalta.com delegates included Michael J. Zammit, Andrew Zammit and Keith Kerr from CSB Group, and Ian Curtis and Emmanuel Bonnici from BMIT Ltd. The delegates reported how successful this year's show had been in view of the number of start-up companies interested to operate in Malta and other established names interested in relocating to the Maltese islands. The congress this year focused on online marketing strategies, building communities and mobilising customers as brand advocates.
The team enjoyed speaking to various other delegates, clients and industry supporters at the event. The consortium is to attend other e-business trade shows soon.
The consortium, launched just under a year ago, provides clients with comprehensive solutions in the course of establishing their e-business in Malta. It is made up of CSB Group, a company and fiduciary services provider, BMIT Ltd, a hosting and co-location facilities provider, iGlobal Payments Ltd, an electronic-payment solution provider, Vacancy Centre.com, and Zammit and Associates - Advocates, a law firm specialising in corporate and commercial law.
