Go Mobile offers tailor-made students' tariff
To coincide with the start of the new academic year, Go Mobile has launched a tailor-made students' tariff offering free calls, free text messages, and other advantages to students who top up their credit or buy a new mobile phone.
The tariff, which is available to all Smart card holders (sixth-form and University students) as well as Institute of Tourism Studies students, offers a slashed rate of 7c per minute to all Go Mobile and Go fixed lines' but also allows students to call their favourite Go Mobile student number for free.
Text messages to this number and to all Go Mobile numbers are charged at 2 cents. Students who had already registered for the students' offer last year will be automatically registered to the new one and will also benefit from all free offers.
"For the launch of this new tariff, Go Mobile is also throwing in a limited time offer where students are also given 100 free text messages and €50 free talk time valid on all Go Mobile numbers provided their first top-up is of €20. This offer will be valid until October 31 and the free talk time is given €10 per month starting from November," Charmaine Farrugia, Go Mobile's head of marketing, said.
Students who are considering swapping their old mobile for a newer handset may benefit from free text messages and talk time with all the models on offer.
"Students who choose a 3G model will also benefit from 200 free SMS and €50 talktime valid on all Go Mobile numbers," Ms Farrugia explained. "Those who prefer a non-3G model will benefit from 100 free SMS and €25 talktime valid on all Go Mobile numbers. The free talk time will be given monthly starting from November."
These offers are valid until October 31.
