Minors with a care order
In the past three years, 244 care orders were issued, Social Policy Minister John Dalli said yesterday.
Replying to parliamentary questions by Labour MP Justyne Caruana, the minister said 149 orders were issued for boys, and 95 for girls.
Care orders are issued for several reasons including carelessness and physical, sexual or emotional abuse. Minor illegal migrants are also issued with a care order.
