A 33-year-old Nigerian is expected to be arraigned in court tomorrow, charged with the importation of cocaine.

The man was arrested by the Drug Squad yesterday afternoon in a joint police-customs operation. He had just flown in from Valencia.

The police said this evening that the man was stopped for a medical examination because of suspicious behaviour. He was found to have a number of drug capsules in his stomach.

Duty magistrate Audrey Demicoli is holding an inquiry.
