I have a complaint about a French company based in Paris.
On the advice of the French Embassy in Malta, I roped in the Maltese Embassy in Paris.
My first e-mail to the Maltese Embassy was on July 30.
As I know from past experience that the company replies promptly, on August 13 I sent a reminder to the Maltese Embassy.
On August 25, I received an unsigned reply from the embassy saying that my original e-mail was not in his/her "inbox".
S/he seemed however to be "washing his/her hands of the matter" but since s/he gave me some details of which I was not in possession, these strengthened my position and I replied straightaway, on August 26, explaining my views.
However having received no reply and knowing that the French company always promptly replied to my communications, I sent a reminder on September 27 enquiring about any progress and also asking for the name of the person handling my complaint, pointing out that it is unethical if not irregular, for a government employee to send unsigned communications.
To date I have still no reply.
I wonder what our embassies are for, with employees being paid from our taxes.
No, not a paid holiday!
