New single from Chris and Moira

Fourteen years of music and over 50 songs have been recorded and released in the shape of three albums and a handful of singles. A significant track record by all means – and Chris and Moira show no signs they’re going to stop making music any time soon.

Fourteen years of music and over 50 songs have been recorded and released in the shape of three albums and a handful of singles. A significant track record by all means – and Chris and Moira show no signs they’re going to stop making music any time soon. They may have slowed their pace as far as releasing music goes, but not the rhythm that feeds their music, as their brand new single Save Me Tonight shows only too clearly.

The song, their own composition, is an upbeat pop tune that reflects the duo’s recent decision to tone down the dominant rock edge that underlined their 2004 Uncivilized album (released as Krave) and experiment with other styles. More than anything, it sees the duo step over into dance music.

The original edit of the new single reins in the dance-floor element at first, running along a mainstream radio-friendly pop vein that evolves into a four-to-the-floor groove once the catchy chorus kicks in.

Chris and Moira have also produced a club mix of the song, naturally pushing the dance element further to the surface, elaborating the musical arrangement and keeping the vocals to a minimum. This new direction is something the duo plans to explore further, and they are in fact working on more new material.
