Funds for Tarxien Temples shelter approved
The EU has approved the granting of funds for a shelter to be installed over Tarxien Temples, Heritage Malta said .
It said that after the Scientific Committee for the Conservation of the Megalithic Temples last year concluded that a protective shelter should be installed over the temples, it had submitted an application for €2.2 million of ERDF Structural Funds.
Heritage Malta was referring to Labour Party criticism that advice for the building of a shelter to protect this heritage site from the weather had been ignored.
