Human resources managers attend CIPD conference

A group of human resources managers from various organisations and companies in Malta recently attended the prestigious annual conference and exhibition organised by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) in Harrogate, England. The conference centred around six themes which are dominating the HR and business agenda, namely: leadership, change, talent, engagement, strategy and innovation. This conference attracts over 1,000 human resources practitioners mostly from around Europe and it is considered to be the number one HR event in Europe.

The Foundation for Human Resources and Development in Malta works in close collaboration with the CIPD. In fact senior officials of the institute - including director general Geoff Armstrong - have been invited to the annual conferences in Malta. This year Vanessa Robinson, head of operations within the Research and Policy Department will be one of the keynote speakers at the FHRD annual conference which will be held on November 15 at the Hilton Portomaso.
