Media Ownership
Media Ownership is the theme of an open debate to be held by the Malta Youth Press (MYP) at Melita Gardens, Attard, on Saturday at 10 a.m.
A panel composed of some of Malta's more capable journalists will put the spotlight on elements that interfere with the media's objective and ethical function while questioning whether bias or influence can ever be justified in journalism or the general media.
The association's principal aim is to strengthen the role of youth media and the freedom of press in Malta.
The debate will also coincide with MYP's official launch.
All young journalists, media workers, communication students or individuals holding a general interest in the media are welcome to join.
The MYP enjoys the full support of the Institute of Maltese Journalists (IĠM).
