Heritage Malta will be launching a heritage trail focusing on the military and naval aspects of the 16th and 17th centuries.

Participants will be visiting St Agatha's Tower, Mellieħa, the Cottonera bastions and the Malta Maritime Museum, Vittoriosa.

The focus of the trail will be the defensive aspects introduced during the Knights of St John's occupation.

The trail will be held on October 19.

Participants will be meeting in front of the Hotel Phoenicia, in Floriana, at 8.45 a.m. and returning to Valletta at about 1 p.m.

Tickets, costing €15 for the general public and €12 for Heritage Malta members, must be bought beforehand from Heritage Malta's head office in Merchants Street, Valletta.
